About me

I am someone who likes to give things from the past a new life. What I do is I "pick" or buy vintage items at swap meets or flea markets, take them home and tear them a part. Then, I will sand down each part until everything is smooth and straight. Lastly, I will then paint each part to my soothing and put the pieces back together.

WORK PROCESS

Step 1: Tearing it apart

It is hard to remember where each nut and bolt will go, so what I do is categorize each part into little baggies. In each bag will contain a small part and the nuts and bolts that correspond with that object.

Step 2: Sanding

Normally, what I restore is objects from the early to mid 1900's for example pedal cars or small toys. Most of the stuff made back then was made of metal. So, a sandblaster is best for sanding down your parts. But, if you don't have a sandblaster, then you can just hand sand your parts. It will just take a lot more time.

Step 3: Paint

Painting is probably the most important step. This is because the paint is the first thing any person will see when they see your restoration. Paint is where your creative taste comes in and really shows your creativity.

Step 4: Putting your project back together

Lastly, after everything is painted and has dried, you can then start to put each part back together. This is my favorite part because this is when your restoration comes all together.
